WHAT WE TEACH

  • The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and should be read seriously.  It was written over many years by about 40 men,  who were recording stories that had been told through and oral tradition.

  • All  people have sinned and are able to experience a new life in Christ.

  • All believer  (saints, Christians) have Spiritual Gifts and should use them to serve the Body of Christ.

  • Attendance and membership in a local church is not to be forsaken or neglected by any believer.

  • The Radically Inclusive Gospel of Jesus Christ for ALL People (That includes YOU!!!)

  • Liberation – Freedom; Reconciliation – Healing; Sanctification – Holy & Righteous Living

We practice LOVE!

Other Issues:

Truth & Destiny is a trans-denominational/interfaith church.  This means we are made of people from various Christian denominations, as well as, other religious traditions and practices.  We are unapologetically Christian and follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ but welcome those who are on their spiritual journey and may be atheist, agnostic, or practice some religion other than Christianity.

We welcome and affirm ALL people regardless of religious background, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, martial, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender expression, physical and/or mental ability or present condition.

We support and practice the ministry of ALL believers.  This means everyone who is a member of Truth & Destiny is welcome to participate in any ministry provided they complete the required training and are willing to commit to serving.

We support and perform Commitment ceremonies, Holy Unions, and Weddings for ALL couples.  Any couple wishing to have a ceremony officiated by Truth & Destiny clergy must attend and complete pre-commitment/marital counseling.

Worship Experience:

During worship services you may experience testimony & inspiration ( a time of sharing briefly a blessing you have received from God, this not a time to tell long stories or make announcements), speaking in tongues ( some individuals evidence being spirit-filled by speaking in other tongues, praying directly to God that may or may not be interpreted during the worship service, speaking in tongues is not a requirement); anointing with oil and/or laying on of hands in the spirit (using oil that has been blessed and set aside for the purpose of anointing a pastor, minister or person released by the Sr. Pastor may apply oil to their hands and touch a person at the altar during a time of intense prayer); slaying in the spirit (it appears as though a person has fainted, but the Holy Spirit has overcome the person and caused them to rest), shouting ( a rhythmic dance often accompanied with clapping, foot patting, and vocal praise); call & response (vocal exhortations between the preacher and the congregation).
